Talk of the Town

Topical talk from two of Sun Prairie's journalists, Chris Mertes, managing editor of The Star: and Don Hooser, host of KSUN-12's "City Talk" is on the docket for this series featuring Sun Prairie's newsmakers.  Programs will include interviews and the co-hosts' taking on issues facing Sun Prairie.  Tune in every Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and other times throughout the week to find out the "Talk of the Town"!  Click to see a list topics and guests that have appeared on "Talk of the Town".

 

Yoga with Rebecca

 Join yoga instructor Rebecca Price from your own living room while she focuses on the balance, stretching, and strength building of yoga exercise. Each taped session takes viewers through progressive stages of difficulty.  Tune into "Yoga with Rebecca" every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.  

 

 

City Talk

"City Talk" hosted by Sun Prairie resident Don Hooser, explores issues of concern to community residents through in-depth interviews with government leaders, school officials and other community members. "City Talk" airs three times a week on KSUN-12 - Mondays at 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 7:00 & 10:30 p.m.  This series debuted on June 19, 2002 on KSUN-12. City residents are encouraged to contact Don Hooser at 837-2347 regarding potential show topics and guests. Information about the guests that have been interviewed by Don Hooser is posted online.

In the Kitchen with Diana

In her first show, Diana talked about the art of pie making and demonstrated how to make a beautiful apple pie, reminiscent of those you grew up with.  In the next episodes, she shared her secrets for a great chocolate chip cookie, demonstrated how to make candies and showed some of the wonderful chocolate creations she makes.  Other goodies that have been demonstrated include salads, simple entertaining, cinnamon rolls, and many more.  Included in each episode is a recipe for the delicious confection she has just created.  Not only does Diana share her recipes, she tells you the secrets and hints to making great treats.

  "In the Kitchen with Diana" airs on KSUN-12 on Mondays at 12:30   p.m. and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.  Check the Schedule to find listings.  Diana's Recipes are posted online for those wishing to try their hand at making the goodies.

 Making Apple Pie
Protect Yourself

An award-winning series in cooperation with the Sun Prairie Police Department offering helpful safety tips and providing information about potentially hazardous situations.  Produced by Lieutenant Pat Anhalt, this series aspires to enhance the relationship between the community and the police department.

Exercises

The KSUN-12 exercise series airs three times a week; Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00am.  This series features workout lectures, exercise classes, yoga, and lessons on healthy living.  Some episodes in the series are made in cooperation with the Prairie Athletic Club, Donna Davis, and the local YMCA.

Veteran's Roundtable

A series featuring veterans from every war, highlighting personal experiences.  The veterans share  first-hand accounts of untold stories from the wars they fought in.  From combat to radio work, code-breakers to POWs, these veterans give compelling portrayals of their time in the service.  Host Ed Pagelow also goes on-location to seek out veterans at local air shows and special aviation events.

Sun Prairie High School Sports

The Sun Prairie Cardinal Football season is underway and what better way to listen to your hometown team then on KSUN-12 with hometown announcers.  Watch the games only on KSUN-12 Wednesday's at 8:00 p.m. and weekends at 10:00 a.m. In the winter KSUN-12 volunteers cover SPHS Hockey games.  With exciting action and a large dose of hometown spirit, these games have something for everyone.

Colonial Club Commentator

The "Colonial Club Commentator" is a weekly series featuring the Colonial Club Senior Activity Center in Sun Prairie.  The show provides a look at recent events and previews upcoming programs and meetings.  The show's host, Al Snowdon, provides an interesting commentary on the Sun Prairie senior scene. 

Rec Scene

A new edition of this series, sponsored by the Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department, is filmed every other week.  The show focuses on upcoming events and opportunities from the Parks, Recreation & Forestry department, while showcasing video clips from events past.  Get updated every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

       

   School Views 

School Views is a series hosted by School District Administrator Tim Culver and consists of Student Spotlight and Learning Showcase.  Student Spotlight features area students who are interviewed about their school    experiences.  The Learning Showcase programs feature area school principals talking about their respective schools, students and events happening in their schools.  School Views provides a "window" into the Sun Prairie schools and connects them with the community.  You can see School Views every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. and again on Thursday's at 3:15 p.m.

I Kind of Like Lucie

Lucie Ferrari has a joyful curiosity about her community that shines through in her hit program "I Kind of Like Lucie" airing on KSUN-12 Monday's at 10:00 p.m. & Wednesday's at 12:00 p.m.  Lucie, who believes everyone has a story to tell,  interviews women from all walks of life.  Interview questions range from asking people to identify the most important people in their life to drawing their representation of happiness.  Lucie says that by asking questions of people with different particular interests, including politicians, writers, musicians, and students, she can learn a lot about human nature in general.  "I Kind of Like Lucie" focuses on local stores, people, music, energy and colors.

Watch Sun Prairie City Council, Planning & Zoning Commission and School Board Meetings LIVE on KSUN-12! 

LIVE airing times:        

 City Council Meetings air the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month.

    Plan Commission Meetings air 2nd Tuesday of the month.

School Board meetings air the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month.

All of these meeting are re-aired on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each week.  School Board Finance Committee Meetings and Special School Board Meetings are also aired on KSUN-12 check our schedule for airing times.

Louie Talks About

Our newest show is hosted by Sun Prairie's own, Louie Blaser.  His show, "Louie Talks About," will focus on the Sun Prairie Rotary Club.  Some of his show topics will include: Immunization of children against polio, the Patrick Marsh Restoration, the Orphan Train Project, and the RICE Program to name a few.  Louie is very excited to share these informative topics with the community. In turn, the community will learn a great deal about what the Rotary organization has to offer. Be sure and watch for this new show on KSUN-12 Monday's at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday's at 1:30 p.m. It's sure to be one that you won't want to miss!

                              Dangertech Theater

Dangertech Theater is a series hosted by SPCA-TV volunteer Mark James.  Included in this series is "Wet Mars" a sci-fi short film filled with action packed scenes shot in front of a green screen.  Dangertech Theater includes a variety of special effects and interesting vintage footage.  Check out Dangertech Theater Wednesday's at 10:30 p.m.
